Question:

Need help with Tamiya acrylic paint color scheme (airbrushed) for F 22 model?

I'm about to build an F-22 model, the same one pictured here:

But I dont know what color scheme of Tamiya acrylics to use, specifically the shades of grey and the metal colors. I like Tamiya acrylics and I have most of their equipement already, which is why I don't want to use Testors, which is what the modeler in the link used. I've heard Tamiya aluminums and metals aren't very good, but I dont know what else to do. Thanks for the help!

  1. Honestly, I can't understand your fear of Testor's paints... I have used them for decades.

    NOW, I have preferred using Micro-Scale's "Bare-Metal" foil for ALL my struts and aluminum / chrome / stainless on models for the last 10 years... so much smoother, cleaner, and metallic than any paint.
