Need help with Xbox 360 warranty?

My xbox broke about a month ago and i did nothing about it because when i went on the Xbox 360 website and checked my device information, it said that i was out of warranty. but then i heard that the warranty was extended to 3 years if you had the 3 red rings on your xbox, which i have. So i checked the website again and it still said i was out of warranty, can anyone help me with this? what should i do to get my 360 repaired?

Look on the last page of your warranty book that you got with the Xbox. It will have an Xbox customer support number which you can call.

It should still be in warranty for the 3 red lights. Did the Xbox 360 website ask you for what problem you have? Because it may be just telling you that you're out of the 1 year warranty for any other problem. Or did you buy it pre-owned?
