On sunday, I got a phone call that my friend had been in a car accident and was on a life support machine...as devastated as I am..i accepted it, she died on monday..i got the call when i was in work and utterly went into tears i made the decision to stay in work even though colleagues wanted me to leave, they were just amazing, they comforted me and looked after me, I took a day off and they supported me when i decided i didn't want to go to the funeral, I want to get them a card and something else as a thank you because they were just fantastic...it's mixed s*x in our place with mostly more males...what i need help with is what do i write in the card, do i write about my friend, you know like thanks for helping and stuff like that, do i write it to the individual people who helped or to everyone!!

sorry i know this question is boring but it's important to me, also what could i get them, I'm thinking a cake or lollies ??

  1. A simple note of thanks written to the entire group would be fine.

    Something along the lines of:

As many of you know, I recently lost a dear friend in a tragic accident. I wish to thank all of you for your support beyond what I might ever expect.

My friend was very special for (for in some reasons here), and genuinely appreciate that with even knowing her, you were willing to share in my grief.

Thank you, I will remember your kindness always.

I don't think a gift or food etc. is required.

  2. It is better to send for everyone equally. A big card for everyone. Those who helped more also gets this same card which is for everyone. It is better to right THANK YOU. Because A friend in need is a friend indeed.

They are all loving you as a friend. Be proud to have such friends. Only be friends to the friends, no other relations.
