In what incriments do Megabites of Ram come in? What is a normal amount to have? I currently have 352, what would be the next amount and so on? Thanks

  1. 352, how bizarre. Usually nowadays you won't find increments less than 128, and really any increments less than 256 is strange. Personally I think 512 is plenty for basic computer usage (email, word processor, etc...). Double that, 1GB is a safe amount.


  2. 352 is a very odd number to have. It usually comes in sticks from 128mb and up. You can even get sticks with 4 gigabytes on them if you wanted.

  3. Now the increments are 1024 meg or 1 gb but it seems your system is a little older so your's might see increments of 128, 256, 512 or 1024.

    Most new computers use 1 GB to 2 GB.
