I have a girl and a boy corn-snake, and since i've got them, i've feed them frozen mice. But since i'm going to have to feed alive mice at some point, should I switch to alive mice??? Or should I stay with frozen?

  1. Why would you have to feed live mice at some point?

Stick to frozen, it's much safer for the snake and I find it a lot more convenient.

  2. You dont have to switch, unless you want 2. For know you should stay on frozen, that always seems to be snakes favorite. Good Luck!

  3. why would you have to feed live?  tons of snakes stay of frozen thawed all their lives.

  4. Pet stores have frozen snake foods from pinkie mouse size to large rabbits. Frozen is much easier on you and the snake. Stick with frozen.

  5. You can always feed them frozen as long as you make sure to fully thaw them out.

I would suggest feeding them both in different enclosures and not in their tanks, and DEFINITELY not together at the same time.

  6. There is no reason to give them live mice, and doing so only invites disaster from sharp mice teeth. All my snakes (and I've owned quite a few over the years) eat frozen/thawed or fresh pre-killed.You can order frozen mice delivered to your house from a number of sources...

...just to mention a few. I get mine from a local Petsmart store.
