i have ordered a wooden floor from a carpet shop/flooring however i have took off my carpret and found my floorboards are much nicer than the floor i ordered. HOWEVER i have put a deposit down half in cash and half on my credit card it says on the agreement - i can get a refund if the wood hadnt been cut yet and i know that the floor i ordered didnt need to be cut as it was a click flooring. I am thinking about going in to the shop and asking for a refund and i need a good excuse to get my full refund back. PLZ HELP

  1. You dont need a good excuse.  Just say you no longer need it.  That is the beauty of living in England - they cant argue (part of your statuatory rights).

  2. Be truthful, there's nothing they can do.

  3. The best excuse for getting your full refund would be that you pulled up your old carpeting and found beautifully finished hardwood under there. So, you no longer need the new flooring.

  4. you can but they will be angry lol

  5. You shouldn't have any problem asking and getting a complete refund. If they are a reputable business, they will understand and still service you as best as they can. Even though they don't have your business now, with solid service and truthfulness on your end, you'll be back next time you do require such services.
