Need help with a screen saver problem?

I have my screensaver set to shut off my screen in 10 minutes and it wont shut off. I waited 3 hours and no avail. What is wrong? I reset the power settings in the control panel and the set the monitor shut off time back to 10 minutes, and still it wont power down. Can somebody please help?

It could be an application thats preventing you from accessing screensaver mode and stays active.  Try closing anything video related or just re-install your graphics drivers.
