  1. given : 2/5h - 1/5 = 3/5h + 4/5 - 2/5h

    simplify the second side (3/5h - 2/5h = 1/5h) so the equation would then look like :  2/5h - 1/5 = 1/5h + 4/5

now get the "h"s on one side

do do this take the 1/5h and subtract it from each side

    you get : 1/5h - 1/5 = 4/5

now get all the non-h fractions on the 4/5 side ... to do this ADD 1/5 (because you are subtracting it in the original problem)

    you now have : 1/5h = 5/5 OR 1/5h =1

now to solve for h, take 1 and divide it by 1/5

    which would make you end up with 5 • 1 = 5

    so h = 5
