On my book report project sheet, it says:

"Design a movie poster for the book you read. Cast the major characters in the book with real actors and actresses. Include a scene from the book in the layout of the poster. Remember, you are trying to convince someone to the movie based on your book, so your writing should be persuasive and at least 5 - 7 sentences. Remember - your poster should be well done and large enough that it could hang in a movie theater to entice your customers to see your film!!"

Where it says "include a seen from the book in the layout of the poster", do you think it means draw a scene on the poster and talk about it, or do you think it means write about a scene in the book and talk about it?

  1. It definitely means to draw a scene on the poster.  I think you have to write 5-7 details about the book in GENERAL, not just that particular scene.

  2. visual impact is always greater - so it would be better to draw the scene in a captivating manner - it should be as self-explanatory as possible. since you have a sentence limit (5-7) write only about what could not be depicted ...

think of the many actual movie posters you've seen hanging in theatres.

    all the best.

  3. "your poster should be well done and large enough that it could hang in a movie theater to entice your customers to see your film"

This line right here makes me think that it's talking about you drawing a poster from a scene and talk about it.
