Im stuck between the Blaupunkt vx693 Velocity speakers and the Infinity Kappa 693.7I speakers. Which one will be louder (with and without an amp)

Blaupunkt vx693:

# 6"x9" 3-way speakers (pair)

# woven carbon-fiber woofer with butyl rubber surround and 3" voice coil

# 1" silk dome tweeter

# 1-1/4" polyethermide (PEI) dome midrange

# 6 dB/octave internal crossovers

# 2-150 watts RMS power range (300 watts peak power)

# sensitivity: 92 dB

# frequency response: 40-22,000 Hz

# top-mount depth: 3-1/16"

Infinity Kappa 693.7I:

# 3-way 6"x9" speakers (pair)

# 2-ohm impedance for extra power (compatible with all factory or aftermarket car stereos)

# Plus One woven-glass-fiber woofer cone with rubber surround

# EMIT tweeter and M.M.D. midrange

# computer-optimized outboard crossovers with tweeter level control

# power range: 2-110 watts RMS (330 watts peak power)

# frequency response: 35-25,000 Hz

# sensitivity: 95 dB

# top-mount depth: 3-3/16"

  1. based on sensitivity freq. response and watts the infinity is probably better. but you could always decide on the other 2 factors: which is cheapest and which looks better

To decide which one you want to get you should really go to a store and ask to listen to each of them and go with what sounds best to you not the specs.

  2. The Infinity Kappa 693.7I will definitely sound better...this is a much better speaker also.

  3. I have owned a couple blaupunct speakers and Infinity. The infinity's highs will be sharper and more clear than about any speaker you can buy. The blaupunkt should be called blaujunk. Do not get them. I recommend Memphis. The 6x9 I have are extremely loud and have been rained one hundreds of times. Clear and loud. No they are not marine speakers.

  4. go with the infinity
