Need help with computer keeps shutting down by its self?

if it helps im on a acer laptop with windows xp this only happens when i play games like runescape or fun orb if u can tell me how to stop i will thank you soooooo much its 1 and a half yrs old and good virus and fire wall protection

well, i don't think it has something to do with system temperature. probably it is a virus. does your computer has an updated antivirus? if yes, try running it on the system especially on the files that run your game. chances are, the virus is residing in those files that cause your system to turn off automatically.

does it get really hot when you are playing your games? if it is, then that means it is over heating. this is because dust builds up inside as the fans blow in air inside the computer. take it to a computer repair shop and they can clean it out for you.
