Need help with computers (note pad and MS word)?

Question

I downloaded a file using Notepad, and I tried opening it using MS Word. It said that the file was corrupt, so I opened it again, using Note Pad again. When I opened it, it had all these weird characters like [ð‰Èò î>n•ˆˆÈ*‘Uà]i«EWV‹Š®ü¯Y½àa.

Those characters are supposed to be real words and they should be read. :(

What do I do to get things back to normal?? :) I really need it for a game I'm playing (Amnesya)

what u need is to downlload the file from w mms word :)

first, you cannot download a file using notepad. (unless you copied the source code and compiled it)

second, you cannot open a game with ms word. word is for word processing and not for games.

the garbage characters are actually machine language, only computers can understand it.

if you downloaded it, what is the extension? if its a .rar or .zip you need to extract it first. and when you see an icon or a picture of the game, then that is what you need to click.
