Need help with finding a good Cruise. ?

I'm looking for a low cost but really awesome inclusive cruise. I want to leave from NY and go to the Bahamas or Bermuda (or both) for our honeymoon. Any suggestions on where I could find good rates?

my family recently had the same question and it was astounding how hard it was to find a cruise to the bahamas that left from NY. nearly all of them left from florida but we didn't want to incorporate an extra flight in there.

we finally found success with Norwegian Cruise Lines (NCL)

we're taking the "7-day Bahamas and Florida from NY" cruise on the Norwegian Gem.

it's upcoming departure dates are:

2008:

november; 29

december; 6, 13, 20, and 27

we're going on the 27th

2009:

february; 14, 21, and 28

march; 7, 14, 21, 28

april; 4 and 11th

the cruise goes to Orlando, Florida; Great Stirrup Cay, Bahamas (NCL's private island); Nassau, Bahamas; Nassau Bahamas Grand Bahama Island; and there are two plain at sea days in between.

I have used "vacations to go" before as they have some of the best rates around. You look up just what you want, then you call them and they do the rest. Also another tip is to go to the specific cruise line you are interested in to get all your ideas from first. Check out carnival, Princess, and Royal Caribbean for some suggestions.

Before you book you should get some information about traveling to Fiji. The islands are spectacular and in many cases just as affordable as local honeymoons.

Royal Caribbean has a very nice ship, the Explorer of the Seas, that leaves out of Bayonne, NJ and does Bermuda in a 5 night sailing and then does a 9 night sailing to the eastern Caribbean. The 9 night is a very nice itinerary.  The ship is amazing and has rock climbing, ice skating, mini golf, sports courts, inline skating, spa, casino, etc.  It has the "Royal Promenade" which is like a mall down the center of the ship and they even put on a parade through the Royal Promenade.  The ice skating shows are beyond anything I ever expected.  If it is your honeymoon, I would highly recommend Royal Caribbean as the age range is going to be closer than what you will have on Carnival (who seems to attract more families).  I hope this helps.  Congratulations on your engagement and have a wonderful cruise.
