Need help with fractions? (homework)?

Alright, i'm having a little trouble with fractions.

1. what fraction times 3 over 4 will give me 1?

2. what fraction times 7 over 8 will give me 1?

1.            4 over 3

2.            8 over 7

You have to do the reciprocal or "flip" fraction to get 1. In this case, you can use any fraction and multiply the fraction inversely to get 1.

Those are easy:  1 1/3 and 1 1/7

For both these problems, you would find the inverse fraction.

ex. 5/6 or 6/5->5/6x6/5=1

so...

1)3/4x4/3=1---answer is 4/3, or 1.33333333...

2)7/8x8/7=1---answer is 8/7, or 1.14285714...
