Need help with getting photos from digital camera

Question

I got a camera from my grandpa, but Its his old one and I dont have the cd. I need to get pics off of it, but when i go to "my computer" hoping my PC reads it as a drive, it dosent. help?

why don't you just print the pictures first and then scan it to your computer...i think old cameras can't really connect to a computer...or if you want,you can go to the manufacturer and ask for assistance...

How old is old? If it is that old, you don't want to download using a serial cable anyway. It'll take you ages to do it anyway.

Get a $5 or $10 card reader. Then you can continue using the camera for as long as it works.

What kind of camera is it? Go to the manufacturer's website... you should be able to download their softwares and drivers there. If not, give them a call.
