Question:

Need help with hanging decor over bed...?

I have 4 square (15" x 15") pieces of decor I want to hang over my king size bed. The bed is not centered on the wall because the entry door is across the room and it would stick out into the walkway area, so it's slightly to the left. Would you hang the decor straight over the bed or line it up with actual wall (even though the bed is not centered)? Or do you think I should just get something else to put above the bed? I have an India-inspired bedroom.

  1. I am not worried about where should decor hanging. The basic decor in the room says that fill with something to hanging on the wall, don't let your wall empty. That decor should hanging balance between space of left-right wall. You can hanging some image there and the image can be what you like or match with your bedroom themes (for example: India themes). 2. I would arrange the pieces centered around the headboard.  It's OK that the bed is not centered on the wall.

  3. depending on how "slightly" the beds off center and how your planning on the arrangement of the panels , if your planning on putting them in a row -all level it should be fine if you measure the entire wall and  space them accordingly  ,if your planning on putting them stacked(2 on top and two on the bottom)it should be centered over the bed and it it can appear lopsided but you can combat that by getting a piece of sari cloth(for your India inspired room) and hanging it in the corner with the excess wall space.play around with both and I'm sure your you'll be able to use the panels-happy decorating

  4. I would use the entire wall but to it's advantage to compliment both the bed and the wall.  Visualize a line going from top right corner to lower left corner and place the pictures along that line. With the last placement being above the bed and low left.  Don't slap the first placement of one of the pieces directly in the upper most corner come down and in about ten inches and then go from there.  It would be a nice effect and won't openly draw the eye to the fact that the bed is off center.

  5. if your bed will always be on that spot then follow the bed and leave the rest of the wall as is , unless you have something else beneath it . make sure that you measure the correct spacing when you hang art  like this  *  *  *  *
