Question:

Need help with hauling my Yamaha rhino?

Have short bed crew cab ford truck. When I load my Rhino into the bed of my truck it doesnt fit fully into the bed. The two back tires are on the edge of the tailgate when it is loaded and the tailgate is laid down. I am afraid that the weight will snap my tailgate if I were to try to haul it. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what I can buy or how I can haul it safely.

  1. What does this have to do with rail? Think you posted in the wrong catagory. Try the "Boats & Boating" catagory.

  2. check with some truck accessory stores, they sell bed extenders that you need to haul longer loads.

  3. I know somone that had this same problem! With a rhino, just like 3 weeks ago.

They wanted to go from AZ to Mexico beach. 4 hours.

I helped him; he straped it to the front, really tight, with like 5 big heavy duty straps, we didnt worry about the tailgate. But it never snapped.

I beleive the straps went all the way under and around other side of bed, some went in the space between cab and bed, and 2 went behind it.

He tessted it. He got in the rhino, and tried to move back and forth, the wheels were spinning, but not moving..

you could also just tow it, I have seen that done around, here since so many people have rhinos. but you would have to buy a dolly, I got one for cars for $80. and a rhino would work

h**l, just forget my first idea, lol go get a dolly.

  4. Hey Duck Boy

Use 2 2x8's under each side of the wheels long enough to

go to the front of the bed and you will be fine.

Make sure you still use tie downs in the front and in the rear.

They cables on the tail gate make many people nervous.
