Need help with homework... cant find answer ANYWHERE?

Yes, the first posters are right about (A) by process of elimination, because,

re (B), never forget Mt. St. Helen's !

re (C), huh? It's one of the only two that are NOT contiguous, the other being Alaska

re (D), according to website named below, there've been 5 big hurricanes since 1950. So while such tropical storms are rare compared to places like Southeast Asia, they do happen.
