Ok...so 2 years ago i got an iPod Nano (the older version) And i installed iTunes and what not, added about 400 songs and then synced my iPod. It worked fine as you can imagine, and I still currently have this iPod, still working great.

However, recently i got a laptop and installed iTunes on it today, but i want to get all of the songs on my iPod onto this iTunes. I plugged in my iPod and it did not put the songs into my iTunes library.

My question: Can i put the songs that are currently on my iPod into the recently downloaded iTunes library? If so, I need to know how.

Thanks :)

  1. You would have to save your songs to a flash drive or something and then put it into your laptop and put all the songs on your iTunes there.

  2. actually, since the only thing that works on itunes is the ipod, a usb will not help. try using ur ipod to transfer the songs to like wondows media player, and then transferring the songs to itunes. they will auto convert into mp3 songs. idk if this works but u can try! Good luck!

  3. This happened to me before, lol. I also have about 400 songs. I got a new laptop too, and I just bought a USB date transfer thing from electronic stores.. like Best Buy, Future Shop, Radio shack/circuit city.. depending on where you live.

Step one: Get your USB and plug it into your old comp.

Step two: Find out where all your songs are.. copy all of them, and paste them into the usb. (Your usb plug in is probably in Computer)

Step three: Wait till all your songs are in the USB, and go onto your laptop and paste your songs ! Then you can open the songs up with itunes.. an ta-da!

note: you should get about 2GB - 4GB USB. I dont think 400 songs will fit in 1GB.

hope I helped! Take care, B.

  4. There's this application that you can download a 30-day trial for, and use that - I forget the name of it - but if you have a USB flash drive and the computer with your library on it, transfer the songs with that. If not, the software is the only thing I can think of. Search for an app like this.
