Need help with ingrown hairs please!?

Question

I seem to have some ingrown hairs on my underarms. I exfoliate, but still get them. What else can I do (besides waxing maybe)?

my fiance gets them under his neck.

before he shaves i have to pull them out from the skin with a sterilized needle. i then either pluck with tweezers or he shaves.

he gets less when he uses a facial scrub on the area to remove more skin cells and it keeps the skin soft. also he shaves with arbonne brand shave gel. it's great for him.

i would try to wax the underarms and see if after that you still get them or if it's lessened. the more you wax the more thin the hair gets. that might make it very less likely to get ingrowns after that
