cos 225° already answered this one (its a summer packet so i dont know how i got the answer) and it was -.707 is that right?

  1. Are you allowed to do it with a calculator? If so, any scientific calculator should be able to do the cos and sin functions. For the cot you use cos/sin.

    If you can't do it with a calculator you'll need to draw circles. How that works is you draw a circle with radius 1. Put a line through the circle along the x-axis. Then use a protractor at the center to measure the angle you want and draw a line to that angle. Where that line hits the circle you need to draw a vertical line down to the x-axis. The length of that vertical line is your cos. The length of the base of the triangle is your sin.
