Im suppose to solve and graph, but I just need help with the solving.

(>_) (<_) either one of those sybols will mean greater than or equal to.

1. z > -1 and z < 3

2. p > 1 or p < 1

3. y >_ - 1 or y >_ 3

4. w < 0 and w >_ 4

5. 2 > y + 2 >_ 0

6. -1 <_ 3z + 2 <_ 8

7.3k + 7 < 1 or 2k - 3 > 1

8. 2x + 3 > 1 or 5x - 9 <_ 6

9. 2x + 3 > 1 and 5x - 9 <_ 6

10. -6 <_ 2 -3m <_ 7

11. 3 >_ 1 - n/2 > -2

Well, numbers 1, 2, 3, and 4 are already solved.

For #3, if y &gt;_ -1 or y &gt;_ -3, then isn&#039;t that the same thing as saying y &gt;_ -1?  The &quot;y &gt;_ 3&quot; part is just extra information.

For #4, you have w &lt; 0 and w &gt;_4.

How can a number be less than 0 and greater than or equal to 4 at the same time?  It can&#039;t, so there is no solution.

5.  2 &gt; y+2 &gt;_ 0

Subtract 2 from all sides.

0 &gt; y &gt;_ -2

6.  -1 &lt;_ 3z+2 &lt;_ 8

Subtract 2 from all sides.

-3 &lt;_ 3z &lt;_ 6

Divide all sides by 3.

-1 &lt;_ z &lt;_ 2

7.  Solve these separately.

3k+7 &lt; 1

Subtract 7 from both sides

3k &lt; -6

Divide both sides by3.

k &lt; -2

2k-3 &gt; 1

Add 3 to both sides.

2k &gt; 4

Divide both sides by2.

k &gt; 4
