Canberra hospital wishes to buy new trolleys for wheeling patients around the hospital. The trolleys are required to be 2.5 metres long. corridors in some parts of the hospital are only 1.5 meters wide and there are some right angle corners in these parts

The trolleys need to be able to be wheeled around these right angled corners. the critical position of the trolley is when it is exactly halfway around the corner (i.e. at an angle of 45 degrees to each wall) in this position the trolley can only proceed around the corner if its width is not too large.

Using your knowledge of right angle triangle trigonometry find the maximum width of the trolley that will enable it to pass around these right angled corners without tilting.
