Have been given a few questions to do and am battling to find the answers. I don't know how to complete them and really want to get good marks so I don't get put in a lower grade class. Any help is apreciated

1. Given:

E=1/2mv^2

make m the subject

2. Given:

A=4(pi)r^2

make r the subject

3. Given:

E=3/4(pi)r^3

make r the subject

4. Given:

5Ar=4(pi)r + 12

make r the subject

5. Given:

v=u + at

make t the subject

(believe {t = v / u + a} is the answer)

Thanks in advance

  1. I won't give you the answers, but all you need to do is move everything to the other side of the = by making it the opposite.

    + becomes -

    - becomes +

    x becomes /

    / becomes x

    ^ becomes Square root (and vice versa)

    mover each letter/number until your left with the one you need to make the subject on it's own on one side of the = and everything else on the other

  2. 1)2E=mv^2  m=  2E/(v^2)

    2)A/4=(pie)r^2    = A/4pie=r^2     = r=square root of(A/4pie)

    3)4E/3=pier^3      = 4E/(3pie)=r^3         = r=cube root of     4E/(3pie)

    4)5Ar-12=4(pie)r    = (5Ar-12)/4=(pie)r     r=(5Ar-12)/4pie

    5)t=v-u/a     seems u almost figgured it out cleanly.

  3. 1) E= 1/2 MV ^ 2

    5) T= V-U/A

    others, do it you help

    looking at the two above

  4. 2E/v^2 = m

    r = root (A/4pi)

    r = cube root (4E/3pi)

    r = 12/(5A - 4pi)

    t = (v - u)/a

  5. do it yourself, not too difficult.i think you need to do the chapter again!
