I have a fender small amp. About 10 - 15 watts, only for practice, yet the sound is terrible. Heres the order of the k***s -

Normal Volume, Gain, Overdrive, Drive Volume, Treble, Middle and Bass.

How can I adjust them to get a decent sound? They all go upto 10. I also have a gibson with 4 k***s on it and a little switch that has 3 positions, these also affect the sound...SOMEONE HELP!!

  1. Fender amps are mostly for Blues and Rock

They are best on the clean channel or some overdrive or light distortion

  2. turn the overdrive off so you have a 'clean' channel on. keep the gain kinda low and use your volume k***s to turn up so your not getting feedback.  set your treble middle and bass to 5. you can figure out what you want tone wise later. then plug in your gibson(tune it first) and turn all k***s clockwise. the two k***s closest to the neck are volume. the two farthest are tone. now your toggle switch is next. place it in the middle. now you have a nice clean tone. flick the toggle down and it gets more treble. flick it up and you get more bass.  boom. you can now play all the sweet grateful dead songs you've always dreamed of rockin.
