Need help with my Social Work registration?

need help in regards to writing my personal statement. If anyone has done it before i would be very grateful for as much help i can get.

Agreed, as I have also read personal statements for a large university, as well as written my own.  For my program, the number one thing they were looking for was writing at the graduate level.  Some issues to consider:

1.  Can you make a coherent point in the essay---do you have a thesis?

2.  Do your paragraphs function as paragraphs, or are they stream-of-consciousness writings?

3.  Did you SPELL CHECK your document?  You'd be surprised at the number of people that don't bother with this simple task.

4.  Did you answer what was asked of you? Some of the most interesting statements totally ignored the questions posed.  The result:  rejected.
