Need help with my betta's bubble-nest?

when i got my male and female Betta's i put them in the same tank

straigth away, and know my male wont make his bubble-nest.

what can i do 2 get him to make it?

  1. OMG DONT i repeat DONT put a male and female together until the bubble nest is already made and the female is swelled with eggs! Take her out now unless you want him to kill her!

  3. How long has it been?  You might need to give him time to get used to the female.  If the water's too cold, they don't seem to make nests.  They like it to be at least 80 degrees, or mine does anyway.  A little heater might help.

  4. He may not like the female you paired him with, try getting another female

  5. Can he build his nest? He needs floating plants and no to very little surface movement.

    Is your temp high enough? It should be about 28C

    Do you have a separate tank for her afterwards? He will kill her if you don't.
