Question:

Need help with my cat?

My cat is giving me a h**l lately, he brings all sorts of lizards and other critters home and it runs loose here, because, they escape from him. My house looks like a zoo of rodents and lizards.

I feed him three times a week, so i don´t really understand, why would he do that?

  1. He loves you and is bringing you trophies. You should be flattered, but I know it is a pain to have all these half dead lizards and such getting into the house. If he brings them outside, try to not let them get in when you let him in. This is your cat's way of thanking you for taking such good care of him. Don't punish your kitty. It is just his nature. By the way, cats need to eat every day, not 3 times a week. That might be why he is supplimenting his diet.

  2. Well #1, you should start by making your cat an indoor cat. It's much better for his or her health. They can catch all sorts of diseases from those nasty lizards and critters.

#2, you should be feeding and giving your cat fresh water EVERY DAY!

  3. Cats are hunters.  He's trying to show you how good he is at it.

Or maybe he just wants some friends.

  4. He is probably hinting you, to feed him every day.

Did you get a snake yet?

I did, two times, now, the riot was heard all the way down the block

The Lime is in, i,ve ordered new batch of Limes for mine :)

  5. It's not your fault your cat brings you presents.

    Clearly, he worships you!

  6. Cats often try to "participate" in making sure the household is fed.  It's their contribution, in exchange for living with you.  You should be keeping your cat in the house, anyway, for its own safety.

  7. lol @ Loralee's answer, maybe he's just bringing you your dinner!

  8. He is a Cat.  He is a hunter.  This is normal for any cat that goes outside.

Plus, he loves you and is bringing you presents.

It's not about the food, it's something born within a cat.

Some have the urge stronger than others.  Again, it's the hunter in him.

Even my indoor cats will attempt to 'kill' their toys and then bring them to me.  Instinct.

As for the feeding--Cats need to eat daily...not three times a WEEK.

  9. its natural for a cat to hunt, tbh i dont think you can do much about it except only let him come into one room from outside tht way you can keep the 'zoo' in one room

  10. He's just doing his part to help your household through the recession. You really should thank him for his contribution.

  11. My cat brings me presents all the time!  She doesn't eat them.  She seems to think that she's bringing ME food.  I'm thinking I should stop feeding her so she'll eat the rats, birds, and moths she's always bringing home.

  12. It's just his instinct.  Maybe he's being a responsible pet and bringing you dinner.
