Need help with my digital scale?

when i turn on my digital scale it says "over" what dose that mean and how do i fix it?

Your scales have to be calibrated.and dont depend on the batteries you get with them..you must read and follow the directions that came with them..over means over calibrated...steve

Make sure that they are on a flat, sturdy surface and that nothing touches them for a few seconds after you turn them on (til it reads '0'). If that doesn't work, replace the batteries.
