Need help with my dog and cat..?

When i leave the house for any amount of time, it happens, without fail.

If there are any dishes on the counter at all, even a small cup, or even a large serving dish, my dog and cat team up to push it off and I've lost a lot of good dishes because of that, they shatter. They even get things out of the sink. So unless I do dishes every time I leave the house (which sometimes isn't possible if I have no time) what can I do?

there are a couple other problems too, they like to eat my tree in the house, chewing on the stem and leaves. the dog also has a bad habit of tipping things (she totaled my torch lamp)

What do i do? can anyone help me?

  2. Crate them while you are gone. They are frustrated and I bet you're not exercising your dog nearly enough. You need to really walk at least 45 minutes every day...briskly ( of course it depends on the breed) You may want to read or watch the Dog Whisperer.

  3. are sure that the dog is not chasing the cat through the house and causing it to knock then over? You should get a video camera and set it up and tape what is happening

If the dog is helping, you could put a mild shock collar on it and try to get it to jump up on the counter and if it attempts to then give it a buzz

not sure about the cat--we have a problem of our spoiled rotten cats getting on the counter and also going through purses and mail and taking out money or other important things then hiding it...very irritating, we've yet to find anything to solve it

try Ceaser Malon, he might be able to help a little bit
