  1. Sunlight is better, because the sun light provides energy for plants. Plants need energy to do photosynthesis. Photosynthesis is the process of where it makes sugar. Herbivores and omnivores will eat the plants to transfer energy, creating the energy pyramid.

  2. sun light. It is all natural!

  3. Sunlight is better!

  4. Sunlight is the best because is provides a large variety of wavelengths.  Plants use several different colors of light to do photosynthesis, so the more colors the better.  Incandescent lights provide less of the blue wavelengths compared to sunlight.  Black lights provide wavelengths in the UV spectrum, which may allow some photosynthesis, but not as much as if all the wavelengths are present. Fluorescent lights produce less of the red wavelengths than daylight, which is one of the major colors used in photosynthesis.  In addition to the makeup of the wavelengths, lights generally are not as bright as sunlight, which leads to less energy for photosynthesis.
