Need help with new computer?

Question

i just got a new computer today :), and i want to install something that can keep viruses out so i dont get a new 1 and so i can check if some of the stuff im gonna install safe? like would installing the new msn be safe? how bout limewire because i want something i can download songs for free, and how about vdowloader for my psp videos from youtube? thanks 10 points for best answer

hmm....well,i think for the virus protection,u need a good anti virus sw,try KASPERSKY,its a good one...abt msn,i dont think it wud bring abt any probs......using limewire can be tricky,if u dont take the right links,u end up downloading trojans..i recommend u install the antivirus,b4 limewiring anything............

Download AVG 8.0. It scans websites when you run searches and tells you if they are safe. Also, my suggestion for the downloading programs, is save the installer somewhere and right click on it and click the "scan with..." option to scan it with your antivirus.

for me first install an antivirus..choose from norton,kasperksy..etc..then update it..for installing apps u need to really know what ur installing cause some operating system and antivirus only detect and ask if u want 2 install such apps and tell u that i might be a treat to ur computer but most of the time they dont know if its really a treat..to be careful get a legit apps or software..but msn,limewire and vdowloader is a safe apps..but always update antivrus and scan everything you download from the net..
