Need help with new fish aquarium

ok I just got a new aquarium and i set it up but then the water got all foggy and after one day or 2 the fog went away and now there is little withe strips on the tank it looks like glue

Don't worry if it is on the outside but if it is on the inside, try to scrape it off with an algae scraper.

That's odd. You should definately scrape that stuff off and get rid of it. Yuck. Did you put any chemicals in the tank? I'm guessing you don't have any fish in it yet, since it's a new tank, so it probably isn't food...could be some type of fungus...or it could be a build up of some of the minerals in the water...
