Question:

Need help with painting studio lighting - daylight balance without glare?

I am setting up a home paint studio. The room already has a light fixture - a ceiling fan that I would like to keep. I replaced the incandescent bulbs with daylight-spectrum (6500 k) compact fluorescent bulbs to have more balanced light in the room.

But I am having a problem with glare on the canvas. I do oil painting. The ceiling fan has open light covers (not globes). I looked for replacement light covers but the ones on this fixture seem to be a non-standard size (neck size 3 and 1/4 inches).

Now I am looking for a compact fluorescent bulb in daylight temperature (6500 k) that is frosted or covered. I can't find one however. Please post a link if you know of a good one that can be purchased from a reputable on-line store or national chain.
