I was told that the serial number on my Circle Y should tell me everything about my saddle. I have my serial number down below, with the information I was given...Can anyone tell me if I have it right, or if I'm missing something?

1709 2609 0102 My serial number

1 One of the most expensive kind

1709 The model number

26 Seat size (i know that's wrong )

09 Stain/color

01 Month it was made

02 Year it was made

I know something is wrong. That's all my numbers, it's a circle y equitation show saddle. Regular dye, and part of the heritage collection. That's really all I know about it. That and it's too big for my horse.

I'm interested in selling it, so that's really why I want to know.

Please help, I'm hopeless.

  1. the website is best, or calling them

year it was made is correct as well as the month

and seat size is def. wrong, just get a tape measure and measure it and figure out where those numbers are

  2. call the Circle Y company.

  3. The seat size is the real stumper!  But Circle Y has a website nowadays.  I've been riding Circle Y's about as long as they've been in business.  I climbed aboard the first one in 1969  (My old Circle Y that was stolen in '88 was made 11/69.).

Here's their site so you can e-mail them and find out what's with the weird seat size.
