  1. I don't know how to compute minutes -.-

    But #2

    Just find the sin-1 (should be a button on your calculator) of 0.6996.

    You're basically doing an "inverse sine", which gets rid of the original sine.

    Sin-1 sin x = sin-1 0.6996

    x = sin-1 0.6996

    I don't have a calculator on hand, but that should be it.

  2. type .6996 and then hit sin -1

  3. 1.  30' = 30 minutes or .5 degrees.  So it's cos 296.5 (degrees)

    2.  x = sin -1 (.6996).  That value depends on if the answer is supposed to be expressed in degrees or radians (or some other angular measure).

  4. Angles can be broken down into sub units other than just degrees.

    The breakdown is similar to time.

    There are 60 minutes in a degree - the apostrophe indicates minutes

    There are 60 seconds in a minute - they will use a quotes symbol (")

    So,  30' = 30 minutes which is half of a degree, so the angle can also be written as 296.5  to find the cos, just type cos 296.5 on your calculator.

    The second problem is asking you to find the angle (x)  You must use the inverse button, so type sin^-1(.6996)
