Everything lately has been feeling completely trivial and im going back to my old ways of caring to much then not caring about anything at all. I stayed up a good 24 hours and have no desire to go to sleep or am i tired even after a long workout. I stay away from caffeine and eat real food. I dont get whats going on? This hasnt happened in so long, ive been taking zoloft and its ceased to work. I take benedryl 25mg and meletonin 3mg with l thianine and it still does nothing for me. Please help.

  1. Many antidepressants interfere with sleep and sound, restful sleep is a biological imperative.  Talk to your doctor.  First, find out if you need to up your dose of zoloft, or perhaps combine it with another drug, or even discontinue it in favor of another drug.  Then explain that you are  having difficulty with your sleep cycle and see if he/she thinks a mild sedative or tranquilizer might be helpful.  You also might want to be evaluated for a sleep disorder like restless leg syndrome or apnea.  If something like that is keeping you awake or interfering with the quality of your sleep, it is treatable.  Finally, if your doctor does not improve your condition, see another doctor.  It never hurts to get a second opinion with subjective diagnoses.

  2. try taking homeopathic insomnia meds. they usually work (but if you do remember that you have to use special toothpaste when you are on homeopathic meds or they wont work). and take a bubble bath before you want to go to sleep. just try to relax yourself
