  1. 2 words:

  2. Try going to bed at like 11 tomorrow night and wake up around 8. do a work out. run a mile, do crunches, sit ups all that good stuff. try not to nap at all. not even a cat nap. Drink tons of water too. Stay outside in the sun as much as you can. you will fall right to sleep that night.

  3. I had the same problem when I was young (still have it).  You're way too young to take sleeping pills, so there are limits to what you can do.

This is an extremely hard problem to deal with and adults don't seem to take it seriously.

One thing you have to do, is not get stressed over it because that will make you feel more awake.  The more wound up you get, the harder it will be to wind down enough to sleep.

This is all going to sound dorky, but you should try reading.  And you should try self-hypnosis.  If you want me to tell you some hints on that that can help post and I will tell you.  Or buy a cd that takes you through all the steps.  I used to have a really good one, but I lost it.  It really helps you relax.

This might help the most for tonight: If you have a tv in your room, tune it to something you've already seen (or put in a dvd) so you can listen to it without having to watch it.  That way you can close your eyes and lie in bed, but still not be so bored you want to scream.

If this problem isn't letting up you need to get your parents to take you to the doctor. Sometimes it can be a chemical imbalance and the doctor can fix it.

DON'T DO THIS, but when I was 8 my parents blew it off when I told them that I couldn't sleep at all at night.  They didn't take it seriously until they came into my room and I was gone.  I would get so bored and frustrated that I would climb out my window and walk around the neighborhood in my pajamas.  They nailed my windows shut, but they put a tv in my room and started letting me read instead of forcing me to turn out the lights and suffer.

Getting a lot of exercise during the day helps.

One thing that really doesn't help is going on the internet.  You need to find things that can keep you occupied while you are lying down in bed so you have the opportunity to fall asleep.

I know this probably doesn't help that much.  I wish I could help more because I know it's torture.

    good luck!
