Need help with stuck folder images.

Question

I have a lot of folders (over 200) that have a lot of stuff in them so to help me see whats in them i have put an image on the folder by right clicking on the folder and going to properties> customize and changing the picture.

But now other folders have started getting these images and i haven't put them there so i have to go through my whole computer and take the images off and it has happened to some folders like My Music and My Pictures that you cant change the picture so now the pictures are stuck on the folder.

Go to your C: drive and open properties of each folder. Goto "Customize" tab and click on "change Icon" button choose normal folder icon. Also select "apply this template to all sub folders" Then click on Apply button to restore to normal condition.

If your problem is that you are getting thumbnail view by default whenever you open a folder, then

1)open any folder and change the view to details view or list view (anything other than thumbnail),.

2) choose the menu Tools -> Folder Options

3) Goto "view" tab and click on "Apply to all folders" button. The current view of the folder is applied to all folders as default. Now close and open your windows explorer. you can see the difference!!
