My fiance is in Iraq and he has been receiving slanderous emails about me, since I'm still in the states. They say things like I'm pregnant and it's not his, his daughter isn't really his, etc. We would like to find out who is sending them, but all we have to go on is the email address it came from (poil9812@yahoo.com). We tried looking at the Yahoo directory, nothing comes up except that it was created on August 16th, 2008--which just HAPPENS to be while I was out of town. I've searched Facebook, Google, and Myspace trying to find the person, but with no results. I've tried every look-up sight possible. I need help!!!!

  1. If it is not true then - don't worry about it. You cannot stop this person from sending the information from this anonymous email. If you were to stop that one they would get another one. Sort of the same way people do in answers - when they can't participate in questions then they go and get another email address.

Your focus should be yourself, your fiance, and your child.

You cannot stop a person from saying things about you - they have their own voice - they can use - even though you do not like it and it is used negatively. But, the biggest thing is that if it is not true then don't worry about it. That person becomes empowered when you focus on it. Focus on your relationship, fiance, and child...then your fiance will realize that it is inaccurate.

  2. Ill sign up his address to every spam email list I can get my hands on. That'll teach the bugger.

  3. The people who say to "forget about it" and other things like that do not know how harsh this sort of thing really is.  Once it happens to them, they will sing a different toon.

Talking to Yahoo Customer Service would be a good place to start.

Also, I would suggest saving the Emails, and if they were sent you your YahooMail account, you can select "full headers" showing all the information about the sender, such as time sent, and the particular IP address, printing the Emails out would also be good so you have a hard copy of the slanderous material.  Then, contact your local police department, and you should be able to file a complaint.

The police will be able to get a subopena to Yahoo to have the information about this person given up.  Then you can formallly charge this person for defimation of character, slander, assult.  Yes, assult is a crime, electronically, mentally, and physically.

Good luck, and I hope you get some results on this poor example of a human being.

  4. give em a virus

  5. Contact yahoo and they will have the person removed from yahoo!
