I can do my Rubik's cube in about a minute 10 seconds and now I'd like to learn how to solve a Rubik's Cube with either a the Fridrich Method or the Petrus Method. Does anyone know a website or youtube video which would make it easy to learn either of these methods?

  2. I just you to join the yahoo Rubik's cube group.

cubefreak.net--macky's site, he averages about 13 seconds

jmbaum.110mb.com-- jason baum averages about 12 seconds

http://lar5.com/cube/index.html--Lars Petrus invented his own method.

  3. Well... Fridrich and Petrus methods each have their own advantages/disadvantages...

Fridrich is the method used by 95-97% of all top speedcubers (Only exception I know of is Gilles Roux, who uses his custom Roux method...). The reason why so many people use Fridrich is its high algorithm count and various uses of cube logic and tricks. It's also quite easy to understand and comprehend. I think 100+ algs are required to learn Fridrich, it's somewhere round 80-100.

Petrus is a method generally designed for intuitive fewest moves solving, but can still achieve averages of 20 seconds.

Petrus requires you only learn about... 10-20 algs, and requires a lot more intuition, as previously stated.

Fridrich video tutorials are rampant on YouTube, but only in their simple LBL form. The easiest way would be to... just learn the algs. Since Fridrich is generally compression of certain steps, it shouldn't be hard to figure out HOW to do it. Shotaro Makisumi has the best site for teaching Fridrich, I believe, and so does Dan Harris =]

Now, as far as I know there aren't many good Petrus video tutorials on the net, and it'd be easier to learn from Lars' main site.
