Need help with this bass tab?

This is from the intro of Trust by Megadeth.

I don't get it... are those bass chords? I mean, I can hardly reach my fingers across two frets! My fingers are small.

Or what does it mean? I'm so confused XD

I know it's probably a dumb question, but I'm a bass noob.

hey I'm a bass noob to but i have been playing guitar for 5 years so i no tab

it means u play the top string 1st then the 10 and 9th fret on the bottom 2 strings the 5th fret and 7th fret on the same strings and finaly the 7th and 8th fret on the same stings you are stuming all of this okay
