Need help with this please?

i'm having trouble with my converter box.i have it hooked up exactly the way the instructions show in the book,but i can only get 4 channels which are 50-1 through 50-4 that is how my channels show like 50-1,50-2 etc.all other channels show no program or it says weak channels.what am i doing wrong please help im going crazy! thx in advance for your help!! :)

A digital signal typically has to be a little stronger than an analog signal to come in.  With a digital signal you either get it or not.  There is almost no in between.  What kind of antenna are you using?  If it's just a set of rabbit ears, they simply don't work well for digital signals.  You might need a better antenna.  Best is one on the roof.  If you can't do that, look into an amplified antenna.  Don't get the cheapest model as a cheap amplifier can cause more problems than they solve.  Make sure you can bring it back if it doesn't work for you and try something else.
