If you still have your operating system and just want to do take your computer back to an earlier time because you have downloaded or erased a file that you shouldn't have or decided that you need it now, you can do a system restore and restore your computer back to an earlier date and time.  But if you are needing to reinstall your operating system, then you can back up everything on your computer and put it on either a usb jump drive or an external hard drive.  Then once you have reinstalled your operating system, you can get your files i.e. microsoft office 2007 off of the drive that you put them on, and reinstall them on your computer.  But if you don't have any drive or anything that you can put your microsoft office files on, then sad to say, no, you cannot, and you will lose your microsoft office 2007.
