Need help with tooth pain!!!

I have recently gotten 2 teeth pulled and its been three days. my tooth hole spot on the top seem to be closing, but the bottom seems the same with and depth and it still aches.(note my top tooth hole does not hurt) Need help whats happening to the bottom. i rinsed pretty hard. i think its not clotting or it got rinsed out. how can i get the clot to start up again or what should i do.

  1. Sounds like a dry socket, the clot got dissolved or removed somehow.  Call the dentist's on call person and they will insert a medicated packing into the hole and you'll feel a lot better.


  2. Remember that you just got permanent teeth pulled out. It's going to take at least one week before you start feeling like everything is starting to really heal. Try not to rinse too hard because that area needs to keep a blood clot inn in order to start healing. You can use a saline solution by mixing water with ordinary table salt. Also use painkillers for at least 2 more days. If after one week you don't feel any better go to your doctor because this could be an indication of an infection. However if you're taking antibiotics there should be nothing to worry about.

  3. Try rinsing with really really salty water. It helps, and just give it time! The bottom usually takes a longer time to close. I got 4 pulled a week and a half ago and they took a week to close!

  4. a dab of cloves will fix the pain, but the symptons, well that's another story, but i'm aching to hear the outcome, by gum i am.
