Need help with translation...?

I've bought a german dressor and Im making it up right now, on the door of it, its written:

"Nach der Entfernug der Schutzfolie Bitte gemakB(B as beta) der Anleitung der oberflachenkonservierung handeln"

would be thankful if you let me know what this precisly mean? do I have to cover it with something or do i need to color it?

It says the surface needs to be protected.

That can be done by either painting or varnish it .
