  1. Helmet

    Gloves

Extra Gloves(Tow Ropes MAY rip up your first gloves, happened to me way too many times)

    Gym Shorts

    Snowpants

Wrist Guards(Heard beginners break wrist ezly, yet never seen happen, when i went snowbaording for 5 years.)

    T Shirt

    Very good winter jacket

    snowboard(with binding)

    boots

    Googles

    Scarf//Neck Warmer

Hip Pads------IMPORTANT---- beginners usually whine that there tailbone hurts after their first couple rides, with hip pads, you can stay fresh the whole season!

  2. Sounds like fun - enjoy Colorado!

My recommendations - layers for your upper body. Depending on where you are, you may find it sunny and warm - or not! If I were going I'd have with me:

    Under Armor or long underwear

    Long sleeved shirt

    Winter sweater (preferably wool)

Fleece and shell or Columbia multi layer jacket

    Snowboard outer snow pants

Pants (I normally would wear jeans or soft warmups under snow pants)

    Neck Warmer

    Helmet and skull cap

    Snowboarding mittens

Snowboarding takes a while to learn. Expect to be on your butt a lot of the time. Enjoy being outside in the snow, and have a change of pants and mittens.

    Good Luck!
