I need to work out time and a half on someones salary how do I work it out?

  1. Duh. Hope you don't work in a bank. Half your wage added to normal rate i.e. £10 per hour, half of £10 is £5 so time and a half would be 10 + 5 = £15 per hour


  2. Times your hourly rate by one and a half....ie if they work 2hrs at time and a half, thats 3hrs paid pay for two hours work. So if they are on £6 an hour they work 2hrs thats 2x6hours = 12hrs, equals £12.00 add an hour for time and a half = £18.00  

  3. Divide their salary by 2, then add it to the salary

  4. Multiply the hours that are to pay paid time and a half by 1.5.

  5. Work out your weekly cost x 52 weeks, divide this by 12  

  6. half the hourly rate and add it to the full hourly rate.  time (full hourly rate) + half (half of the hourly rate) = time and a half!
