Okay I have an assignment at school to write a short story about anything but it has to be based on one of a number of songs we listened to in class. I picked this yoga one that reminded me alot of nature and many other things. So my idea for this story is it's about a young girl/adult who lives within an indian tribe and longs to be a modern city girl. She has a ceremony coming up that is very cultural related but she isn't excited at all for it. She ends up running away to a nearby city and staying with a new friend. Some more events happen and she realizes that she misses her home and she goes back and continues with the ceremony and everyone's happy lalala-dah the end. I write kind of like Jodi Picoult. I need to know some information about Native American villages and their culture, such as names, ceremonies, and ways of life; so I can have this in my story and I want to make this as realistic as I can.
