IT is getting to the point where it needs to stop and i really don't want to have anything to do with her anymore cause i don't want my daughter who is 5 months old to associate with her so i am really thinking about being adopted can any body help me find out how i can and if their is a site to find people who would adopt adults. thanks so much. i know it mean changing my birth certificate and names on it and my last name and all but i willing to do whatever it takes to get her out of my life.

  1. You are over 18 -- why would anyone adopt you at this point?  You're an adult!  No one adopts adults.  You think some rich dude is going to drop out of the sky and make you his daughter and give you lots of money?  Ain't gonna happen, dearie.  Stop dreaming.

If you want to get her out of your life, why don't you change your name and move away, and take control of your life? (PS:  One way to change your name is to GET MARRIED to the father of your baby . . . presumably your boyfriend?)

  2. What a weird question! If you're 22 and don't like anyone in your life, that includes your mom, just don't talk to her or see her anymore! Once you turn 18 you are independant and they have no control over you anyways, so it doesn't matter.

  3. Why do you need to be adopted at 22 years old?  Aren't you old enough to live on  your own?  You should be thinking of going out on your own and supporting your child.  If you really want to get away from your mother it's not that hard at 22 years old.  MOVE AWAY!

  4. At 22 years old and also being a parent, you can not be legally adopted by anyone.  It isn't possible.  Foster care ends when you turn 18.  Are you saying you still live with a foster family?  If so, it is only because they are allowing you to live with them.  You don't have to have contact with your mother at this time.  If it isn't working for you to talk to her than don't.  You are capable of making your own decisions, living on your own, getting a full-time job, etc.  Changing your name legally is never going to get your mother out of your life.  She will always be your mother regardless of what you do.  You can legally go to court and change your name if you want to.  It costs money, but you can do it if it would make you feel better.

  5. You can't be adopted as an adult.  As an ADULT, you make the decision as to who you have in your life.  Just don't have contact with her.

  6. Being adopted means the person will be taking care of you untill you can take care of yourself.

you are above 18,and you can obviously handle on your own. So why get adopted?

But you can get legal seperation to your mom.

    Good luck

  7. Well, if you're 22 there is no need to get adopted. You're grown, go live your life somewhere else and if you feel that strong about your mother just stop communicating with her. Just remember you only get one mom, no matter how she irritates you or makes you mad shes still your mom.

  8. huh???  move away from her.

  9. You seem like you are over reacting. That's a really immature thing to consider. Pull up your big girl panties and deal with it. Everybody has family drama.
